Pojer e Sandri
The Estate
An iconic winery and undisputed symbol of what is the best oenology in Trentino, that of Pojer and Sandri is a winery that was born in 1975, and comes to life from the meeting of the young Florentine Sandri and Mario Pojer. The first had just inherited about two hectares of vineyards, while the second had recently graduated from the prestigious oenology school of San Michele all’Adige. From the meeting a successful combination was born, thanks to the common will of both aimed at producing great wines in an area hitherto considered a minor one: the Val di Cembra, and more precisely the Faedo hill, not far from Trento.
In this way, a story began that, over the years, has been studded with successes, from the first white wines to the acquisition of new lands, from the great international reds to a vision of the future that is unique in the production landscape. Italian, a peculiarity that has always characterized Pojer and Sandri thanks to courageous choices, able to anticipate the times as perhaps no one else has been able to do. Currently there are over thirty hectares of vineyards that the company has, divided into different plots which, despite being conducted according to the rules of conventional agriculture, are treated with the utmost respect for the environment, the ecosystem and the surrounding nature.
The Wine
Between the rows, herbicides or desiccants are never used, much less anti-trite chemical treatments, so the plants of müller thurgau, chardonnay, nosiola, aromatic traminer, sauvignon and pinot noir produce pure, precious and natural grapes. Bunches that are processed in the cellar using the most advanced enological technologies, always used in the deepest respect of the ancient territorial traditions.
From all this simply excellent labels come to life. From "Zero Infinito" to "Dulcis in Fundo", from reserves to sparkling wines, through spirits and grappas, these are wines, those that come from the cellar of Pojer and Sandri, always of the highest quality, strongly identifying the territory and long-lived as few others know how to be.
