Itinerary

Once an important Etruscan trading post, Arezzo was later absorbed into the Roman Empire. A free republic as early as the 10th century, it supported the Ghibelline cause in the violent battles between pope and emperor and was eventually subjugated by Florence in 1384.⁣
⁣⁣
Today, the city is known for its churches, museums and fabulously sloping Piazza Grande, across which a huge antiques fair spills each month. We are again with our founder, Keti Mazzi. We asked her to take us around her hometown, selecting her favorite spots. ⁣Scroll to see the city through her eyes.

STAY

Her suggestions:⁣⁣
🛎 Il Borro, A beautifully restored medieval village surrounded by wooded hillsides at the heart of a 750-hectare organic estate and winery owned by the Ferragamo family: Il Borro is a destination in itself.
🛎 B&B Antichemura, Lovingly restored by the Lancini family, this 13th-century ancestral home-cum-b&b sits in the historical centre of Arezzo – an oftentimes overlooked, yet quintessentially Tuscan town. Each of the six capricious guestrooms pays homage to an iconic woman of classic literature or modern cinema.
