At Roots with Argiolas' Vermentino

Written by Certa Team

@rootseateryhk is definitely one of our neighborhood’s favourites: Chef @stephanieknwong keeps pampering us with her Cantonese flavour menu with intriguing spins. In a time of radical changes, the signature French roasted chicken with glutinous rice stuffing is the delightful constant that we all need: a surely refined but unfussy affair. ⁣

🍷A standout dish definitely needs a standout wine: @argiolaswinery’s #Cardanera is an ode to the rough, untouched landscape of Sardinia. It’s made entirely with native grape #Carignano del Sulcis, that greatly reminds aromas of Mediterranean scrub. @kerinokeefe: “Wild red berry and myrtle form the nose, while the lithe palate offers juicy red cherry, strawberry and baking spice alongside smooth tannins and fresh acidity.” ⁣

This wine is a great excuse to spend an evening sitting on the window table, the kind of corner that deserved to be savoured at a slower pace. Great to be here with @ddlefou, our forever hungry food specialist and @night.cap.stories who is lovingly taking care of @rootseateryhk toothsome communication. We do judge a restaurant by its entrance and this is a 💯. #certapeople #certaplaces
