Italians love to eat, no mystery about that. They do love to talk about food and we, at Certa, are no exception. But what we really talk about when we talk about food? From pleasure and emotional participation, to identity, beliefs and cultural values, gastronomical conversations can reflect who we are, adding layers of meaning to what’s on the plate.

Which is the most meaningful gesture that you link to food?
🍪At @biscottimattei, it’s the regular and repetitive motion of kneading the dough that takes our heart away. The magical process that turns flour, sugar, eggs, almonds and pine nuts into this heavenly food also known as Cantucci. Few things are as tasty, satisfying and simple, and yet if we take a deeper look at these crunchy masterpieces, we see the history of an overwhelming passion passed down since 1858.
